You can have many users viewing or updating the same pages or adding links to public websites. Most companies, irrespective of their sector have to deliver documents on some sort. Each document usually comes with multiple contributors. Once the document is ready, it will then need to be exported in .doc or or a .pdf file which represents a publishable version of the document. The enterprise WIKI is a great tool to break down your document into pages and assigning each page to a project member.
Using the WIKI app as an online document intranet
Another key aspect of the WIKI is that it keeps a document ‘alive’ because it can be easily updated by its users. You can use an Enterprise WIKI to document a product, a service or an internal project. Access to the online document will be possible via a simple internet link, which you can then publish or advertise by email, on your corporate blog or on twitter. In the first quarter of 2011, GroupCamp will allow a users to access a page of the WIKI without being a member of a project.
Using the Enterprise WIKI app as a knowledge center for Internet resources
If your team is conducting research on a particular topic, use the WIKI to build your knowledge center with links to public resources. You can also copy/paste relevant information for your research (provided of course you comply with Intellectual Property guidelines)
Using the Enterprise WIKI for Memos or Minutes of meeting
For your day-to-day business projects, the WIKI app can boost the performance of your team simply because organizing information is much easier. The revision management system allows you to easily keep track of your documents and the email notification system allows you to easily send memos or minutes of meeting by email.
